To the writer of how Peter lost his gold medal — Peter never lost his gold medal, he may have used poor judgment in his words to Jesus but Peter was that rock that Jesus built his church on and Peter was the first Pope of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
To this day, Peter still has his gold medal because the church that Jesus founded upon Peter still stands, the oldest church in existence and no other church can make that statement.
Peter was chastised by Jesus, but Peter never lost his gold medal.
