The Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra is looking for accomplished, qualified musicians for positions in all sections of the orchestra, to fill open positions as they occur.
Interested musicians should furnish a resume indicating musical ability, especially orchestral experience. Materials can be mailed to the symphony office at 621 Court Street, Lynchburg, 24504, or emailed to info@lynchburgsymphony.com.
LSO conductor/music director Bruce Habitzruther will audition candidates as openings become available. All woodwind and brass musicians who normally transpose should be proficient in transposition to the normal orchestral keys. Candidates should be proficient in sight-reading, and they should prepare two short pieces that demonstrate technical proficiency and musicality.
