Liberty University is opening a fine art gallery in the back portion of the DeMoss Learning Center, with the hopes of eventually forming a permanent university art collection.
The first exhibit will feature local artist David Heath’s contemporary American landscapes, many of which have been painted en plein air. It will open Thursday and stay up through Nov. 7, with an opening reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
The gallery’s entrance is across from the Vines Center on Eagle Run.
