Crime Stoppers: Cell phone stolen from car

Money and a cell phone were taken from a car in a parking lot on Langhorne Road last week.

The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating the larceny Thursday just before 1 p.m. from a Chevrolet pickup truck in a parking lot at 2524 Langhorne Rd. An unidentified suspect was seen on surveillance camera climbing into the truck, police said. Money and a Nextel cell phone was taken.

The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and pants.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000.00 for information leading to an arrest.
