I don’t understand. The news story says the 1700 block of Taylor Street - that narrows it down to about 100 feet in either direction. The text is highlited so that if you click on 1700 Taylor Street, it shows you a detailed map of exactly where that is.
Just a clue - any street in Lynchburg that’s named after a President is “downtown”, in an area that is partly restored Victorian homes of families and retired people, and partly drug-ridden tenement crack houses and gang hideouts.
Good suggestion, Lynchburg Native. I still think one sent from the reporter could greatly help clarify - and the job of a news story is to inform.
Street names could easily be linked to a Google map.
I have lived in the burg for almost 10 years now but do not (by any means) know where every street is located. It would be helpful if the N&A reporters began to make it a practice to reference major landmarks or street references when telling us about a location.
