- SYNOPSIS: The musical is a 90-minute Caribbean adaptation of “The Little Mermaid.” In almost nonstop song-and-dance, the show tells the story of Ti Moune, a black peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a rich boy from the other side of her island. After Daniel returns to his home, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of the couples love against the forces of prejudice, hatred and death.
