The United Way of Central Virginia’s latest fundraiser, set for 7 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Holiday Inn Select downtown, will feature lip-synching performances by more than 30 Lynchburg-area businessmen.

Hill City native Marcia Thom, a Sweet Briar College adjunct professor and professional opera singer, is choreographing for and directing the Feeeenomenal Follies, who will perform as, among others, Elvis, the Temptations, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Drifters, the Village People, the Bee Gees, Milli Vanilli, Gladys Knight and the Pips, the Blues Brothers and even Tom Cruise.

A silent auction is also planned, and a cash bar and hot hors d’oeuvres will be available.

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased by calling (434) 846-8467.
