A Lynchburg man who was shot in the groin is facing firearms charges.

Orlando DeSean Harvey, 24, was found in the 1700 block of Floyd Street after the Lynchburg Police Department responded to a report of a shooting just before 6 p.m. on Aug. 18.

Harvey had been shot once in the groin and was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Sunday, the police department arrested Harvey and charged him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless handling of a firearm and filing a false police report.

And from all the charges.. unfortunately he will not be a productive citizen anytime soon…
