Woman arrested for stabbing man Friday

The man injured Friday night in a domestic-related incident was stabbed, according to Lynchburg Police.

The victim, whose name was not released, was in stable condition at Lynchburg General Hospital on Saturday afternoon, according to Capt. Wayne Duff.

He suffered a stab wound to his chest, as well as lacerations to his neck and the side of his head.

Shortly after police responded to the scene in the 800 block of Pierce Street, they arrested Darlene Allisa Anderson, 31.

Anderson is charged with malicious wounding, domestic assault and battery and possession of cocaine and was incarcerated at the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center.
