Hillcats postponed by inclement weather for second straight day

WILMINGTON, Del. — Inclement weather forced the postponement of Lynchburg’s game at Wilmington on Friday night, the second in as many days for the Hillcats and Blue Rocks.

The games will be made up in consecutive doubleheaders today and Sunday. Game one of today’s double-dip is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. First pitch of game one for Sunday’s doubleheader is slated for 1:35 p.m.

Lynchburg remains in first place in the Carolina League’s Northern Division and the Hillcats will attempt to increase an eight-game lead over third-place Wilmington.

The Hillcats and Blue Rocks have split their first six meetings this season and this weekend’s series in marks the final contests between the two teams in the first half of the season.
