Hillcats score 11 runs on 20 hits, comfortably defeat Frederick

Lynchburg jumped out to a 7-0 lead through five innings and went on to decisively beat Frederick, 11-4, on Sunday night.

Erik Huber went 6-for-6 at the plate for the Hillcats, with a double and three runs driven in. He also scored twice. Eddie Prasch also drove in three runs, including a two-run single in the top of the second inning. Lynchburg, which finished with 20 hits, scored two runs in the second and third innings, three in the fifth and eighth and one in the ninth.

Michael Colla worked 2 2/3 innings of middle relief and picked up the victory for the Hillcats. Starter Justin Wilson went 4 1/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on five hits.

Lynchburg begins a three-game series at 7:05 p.m. today at Wilmington.
