LIBERTY REPORT: Wednesday practice update

Just back from Liberty’s football practice. A few quick injury updates:

* Linebacker Ian Childress had a sleeve on his right knee and was walking on crutches. His status was reported as doubtful Tuesday.

* Also doubtful was defensive end Trey Jacobs, who had a sleeve on his leg extending from his left knee to ankle. He was walking without crutches.

* Punter Mike Larsson was not dressed.

* Kicker Matt Bevins was dressed. The one kickoff I saw was taken by Ben Shipps, though.

* Safety Ryan Greiser (head) did not dress. Saw a lot of Larry Claiborne at strong safety in Greiser’s place. Danny Rocco said Tuesday Greiser was questionable for Saturday’s game.

* Saw a lot of Doncel Bolt and Jamal Giddens in the nickel package, with Childress out.
