SPORTS BLOG: How local players fared at the NFL combine
Published: February 24, 2009
William Campbell grad Cedric Peerman had a monster week down in Indianapolis, wowing the NFL scouts in several events at the combine, which ran from Feb. 18-24. Former Jefferson Forest and Liberty standout Rashad Jennings had a good week, too.
Cornerback Macho Harris was the only Virginia Tech player to show up on NFL.com’s combine leader boards. No sign of DE Orion Martin.
Interestingly enough, former Hokies running back Branden Ore, who played at West Liberty State last season, scored an invite to the combine. He showed up on the leaderboard for the vertical jump, but nothing else.
