Hello readers!
Last year, the sports staff at the News & Advance dabbled a bit in the blogosphere, using a wonderful template provided by the fine people at Wordpress. That was before the redesign of our Web site. With the site overhauled, we were able to move the blog to the N&A site, so you can read entries as you surf through the stories on our site. Seems much more user friendly, no?
Anyway, nothing of substance here today, but I just wanted to make people aware that starting this week, we will resurrect the blog(s) with entries from all three of our major college beats. I'll be posting from the Big South media days in Charlotte Friday, and look for notes and analysis as the football season kicks in to full gear next week.
Andy Bitter will update the Virginia report and Nathan Warters will handle the Virginia Tech report, and all three can be conveniently accessed from the N&A sports Web site. Just go to the main newsadvance.com site, run your cursor over sports and click on the blogs link and look for the LIBERTY REPORT, TECH REPORT or UVA REPORT.
During the week in my blog, look for expanded reports on Liberty's opponents, extra notes from practice and press conferences, news and notes on LU's non-revenue sports and football gameday notes and breakdowns. We also have plans of adding extra multimedia elements to the site, including podcasts and interviews during the week.
