Police are looking for two men who they said robbed a convenience store on Lakeside Drive Sunday night.

Two men walked into the Los Amigos store at 2012 Lakeside Drive shortly before 9 p.m., according to Capt. Todd Swisher of the Lynchburg Police Department.

One man carried a gun, Swisher said. He fired at least one round in the store during the robbery, barely missing the clerk.

The two men stole cash and checks from the register, Swisher said. Police don’t know how the men left the store.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating the two men.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 30. He is at least 6 feet tall and has a medium build. He was wearing a black shirt and a bandana or scarf over his face.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. He is between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall and has a small build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a large sombrero.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Investigator T.C. Barley at (434) 455-6162 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
