Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling, honorary chairman of the Central Virginia Asthma Walk coming in May, spoke at a luncheon of the American Lung Association of Virginia on Tuesday in Lynchburg.
Bolling talked about the importance of asthma research and education programs, for which the walk will raise funds. Lynchburg mayor Joan Foster also talked about the need to raise public awareness of the chronic respiratory disease.
The walk will take place May 17 at Peaks View Park.
