An unidentified man died after being struck by a car Saturday night on U.S. 460 in Campbell County, according to Virginia State Police.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m., said Sgt. D.J. Edwards, when a car hit the man, who police said was walking near the Timberlake Road exit.
The victim has not yet been identified because he had no identification, Edwards said. He appears to be Hispanic, he said.
Police know who the driver of the car is, but no charges have been filed, he said.
It is not known why the victim was walking in the road, Edwards said.
Police had not received any missing person reports fitting his description by Sunday afternoon, he said.
