ACHIEVEMENTS
Appomattox
-The Appomattox County High School Marching Raiders took first place in Class A at the Lynchburg Classic marching band competition held recently at City Stadium. The band also took first place honors in music and general effect and second place in marching. The color guard took second place at the Lynchburg Classic and first place Sept. 20 at the Amherst Tournament of Bands.

-The following Sandusky Middle School students were recently
inducted into the YES Leadership Academy: Jordan Booker, Seandre’ Bradley, Ardrius Dews, Jordan Ferguson, Christian Glover-Tucker, De’Angelo Green, Keandre’ Moore, Demondre’ Sales, Raymond Smith and DeShawn White. Youth Education and Support is a city-wide anti-gang mentor program.
