Liberty University on Wednesday announced that it has established a full-service university publishing company.
Authors who are published through Liberty University Press retain all rights related to his or her work, according to a news release.
Liberty Press publications will be peer reviewed and made available through major distribution channels such as Ingram, Spring Arbor Distributors, Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com, according to the release.
The Lynchburg-based production team includes award-winning designers with more than 70 years of combined experience in the publishing field. Representatives from the company will guide authors through the publication process, from the book’s design and title to how it should be marketed.
The company will provide a quick publication process, according to the release, and an author’s newly published work may be printed upon order in increments as small as one book.
In the release, Liberty University Provost Boyd C. Rist called the venture a “significant milestone in the development of Liberty University.”
“Liberty University Press offers University faculty, as well as authors in the wider evangelical community, the opportunity to write on a wide array of subjects that expand the frontiers of knowledge for both scholarly and general audiences,” he stated.
