Two Bedford County men were arrested last week and charged with narcotics violations, officials with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Investigators discovered 10 pounds of marijuana at a home located at 1288 Kasey’s Lakeview Drive, in Moneta, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Investigators found Claude Edward Moore Jr. at the house. They arrested him and charged him with manufacture, sale, gift or distribution of more than five pounds of marijuana, possession of firearms while in possession of certain controlled substances and conspiracy to distribute marijuana, according to the release.
In another investigation, authorities located Scott Mathew Thomas at a home on Lands End Trail, in Moneta, and arrested him, the release stated.
Thomas was charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Both Moore and Thomas were taken to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford, where they were being held without bond awaiting arraignment, authorities said.
