Authorities arrested two Salem residents last week in connection with a crime ring that dealt in the theft and resale of stolen ATVs, according to a news release from the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office.
Johnney Ray Nester and Darryl Nester, of 3858 Old Catawba Road, were arrested last Saturday and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, the release stated.
Those arrests brought the total of arrests in this case up to five, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities had previously arrested Chris Arrington, Timothy Saunders and an unnamed juvenile in connection with the case.
Arrington was charged with grand larceny of an ATV, Saunders was charged with two counts of grand larceny of an ATV and the juvenile was charged with four counts of grand larceny, officials said.
