Bedford County authorities have arrested four Lynchburg men in connection with a Forest home invasion last week.
Arrested were:
- Dewayne Andrea Irving, 21;
- Montez Deshon Rose, 18;
- Artis Lloyd Appling, Jr., 21; and
- Jarrett O’Neal Bradley, 19.
Irving and Rose are charged with attempted murder. Irving is also charged with malicious wounding and killing a companion animal.
All four face breaking and entering, abduction and firearms charges. Rose, Appling and Bradley are charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, while Irving is charged with attempted robbery.
Authorities said emergency dispatchers received a call to a Bellevue Road home in Forest around 4 a.m Aug. 13. The caller reported three armed, masked subjects had forced their way into the caller’s residence.
Deputies responding to the scene found Robert Krebs, 22, and his girlfriend Alison Wood, 21.
Investigators said Krebs reported being assaulted several times and hit in the head with a handgun as two of the intruders held Wood at gunpoint.
Krebs said he was able to get out of the house during the attack and that one of the suspects fired a gun at him as he was running away, authorities said. One of the men also shot and killed Krebs’s dog, officials said.
While investigating, deputies found a large amount of marijuana in the house, authorities said. Krebs and Wood were arrested and charged with felony possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
