Police are investigating what they believe to be prescription fraud at the Target pharmacy on Wards Road early Sunday afternoon.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, wearing a baseball cap, a gray shirt and tan shorts.

Police believe the suspect attempted to get drugs with a forged prescription, though he did not obtain any. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective R.W. Moore, with the Lynchburg Police Department, at 455-6172 or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900.
