Rep. Tom Perriello, D-5th District, has been appointed to two positions on Congressional panels, his office announced Wednesday.
Perriello was named a subcommittee vice chairman within the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The subcommittee focuses partly on economic development.
Also, Perriello was named a member of a newly formed group within the House Democratic Caucus known as the Congressional Task Force on Job Creation.
“I am focused on jobs for Main Street, and these appointments will help me advance the ball on economic development for Central and Southern Virginia,” Perriello said.
