The man police suspect robbed three Virginia banks stopped at a nearby Burger King prior to robbing the SunTrust bank in Forest on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff’s department released surveillance pictures from the restaurant, located next door to the bank. The pictures, time stamped for Tuesday at 1:44 p.m., showed a man with short hair, wearing a red jacket.
Maj. Ricky Gardner said that the bank robbery happened at about 2:30 p.m. Video from the bank showed a man with long hair or a dark-colored wig, wearing a red oversized jacket.
The man depicted in the photos is also suspected of robbing banks in Galax and Roanoke in January.
