Goodlatte speaks at middle school during district tour

Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-6th District spoke on the environment this morning with a group of about 100 Forest Middle School sixth graders as the first of four stops planned in Central Virginia.

“One of the areas that we have to deal with is to make sure that we protect the environment,” he told the students, who had written him letters about the environment as part of their life science class with teacher Maggie Marsh.

“The reason he has come today is because of your letters,” she told the group before Goodlatte’s arrival. “Even though you’re a kid, your voice matters.”

Goodlatte is scheduled to make three more stops around the sixth district today:
