Lynchburg Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that sent a 15-year-old girl to the hospital.
According to a news release from the police department, the teenager was shot in an altercation that took place around 2 a.m. during a party at a residence on Wise Street in downtown Lynchburg.
Witnesses reported hearing four to five gunshots inside the residence, according to the release.
Police said the girl and a 15-year-old boy, who was hit in the face with a glass bottle, were treated at Lynchburg General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not release the names of the victims because they are juveniles.
A 20-year-old man was also hit in the face with a glass bottle, according to police, and an 18-year-old woman was hit on top of the head by a piece of falling glass.
Lynchburg Police are investigating the incident and have not identified any suspects.
