GLTC bus crash sends three to hospital

Two Greater Lynchburg Transit Company buses collided Monday afternoon, injuring three passengers, police said.

The two buses were approaching a traffic light at the intersection of Memorial and Wadsworth street when one rear-ended the other, said Capt. Brandon Zuidema of the Lynchburg Police Department.

Three passengers were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with minor injuries.

James Fitzhugh. the driver of the bus that police said hit the other, was charged with reckless driving.
