The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a reported rape near Goodview Road on Monday night.
According to a news release from Maj. Ricky Gardner, a woman was walking on the road, south of Virginia 24 near Goodview, between 11 p.m. and midnight. The release stated the woman accepted a ride from a white male she did not know who took her to a railroad service road nearby where he forced her to have sex with him.
The man is described as being in his late 30s or early 40s, with an average build, brown hair cut into a mullet and a clean-shaven face. His car is described as being white with a dark blue or black interior.
