Campbell County budget draws no comment

»  Comments | Post a Comment

No one spoke for or against Campbell County’s fiscal year 2010 budget at Monday’s public hearing.

The $125 million budget, which is 1 percent less than last year’s budget and includes no tax increases, will be voted on during the meeting on May 18.

“It was the quickest (budget public hearing) we’ve ever had that I’m aware of. I’m not aware that we’ve ever had no comment from the board or the public,” County Administrator David Laurrell said.

“I think that probably goes to the fact that we worked through those issues in advance and have just been very frugal in what was presented.”
