A wreck on Forest Road in Bedford County on Wednesday night sent multiple people to the hospital, said county fire authorities.

Forest Fire Company Chief Todd Styles said fire and rescue crews received the call at 9:24 p.m. and responded to Forest Road near Enterprise Drive, across from the Walgreens store.

Three vehicles were involved in the wreck, Styles said, including a Mitsubishi Eclipse, from which emergency workers had to pull the driver and a passenger.

A Ford F-250 and a Honda CR-V were also damaged in the wreck, but Styles said he didn’t know the extent of any injuries the other drivers or passengers sustained.

Units from Boonsboro Volunteer Fire and Rescue, as well as the Campbell County Rescue Squad, also responded to the scene, while a medic unit from Lynchburg stood available nearby, Styles said.

The names of the people involved were not available.

Crews closed three lanes of Forest Road and were near clearing the scene as of 10:40 p.m.
