The Lynchburg Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that happened at the R.S. Payne Elementary School playground.
It happened on Saturday, Nov. 7 around 3 p.m. Someone passing by called officials to report the fire. The total damage is estimated at $20,000.
The Lynchburg Fire Marshal’s Office is requesting that anyone with information to call Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900.
