What do you think has been the biggest local story of the decade?

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Before we take the turn into 2010, The News & Advance is compiling a list of the biggest stories of the decade for our area.

There are many from which to choose: the death of Jerry Falwell Sr., the opening of the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, the completion of the U.S. 29 bypass around Madison Heights, just to name a few.

What would you include in the list?

E-mail us your submissions (news@newsadvance.com) or mail them to Decade in Review, The News & Advance, P.O. Box 10129, Lynchburg, VA 25406.

All submissions must be received by Dec. 13.

Look for our special section looking back on the decade, and on 2009, in the Dec. 31 edition of The News & Advance.
