The Jubilee Family Development Center is celebrating 10 years of service with a “Thanks for Giving” open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at 1512 Florida Ave.
The open house will feature tours of the Jubilee facility, including the Vocational Center, where visitors will see a robotics demonstration, an aspiring chef preparing a dish in the Culinary Arts Kitchen and an instructor describing the Nurse Aide program. In the Building & Trades Center, there will be demonstrations on construction and small engine repair. Youth entrepreneurs Amber Abrams and Joshua and John Jarrells will display and sell their art in the main building.
The birthday party begins at 5:30 p.m. with selections by the Jubilee Choir, followed by recognition of major supporters, Jubilee Angels and extraordinary volunteers, Jubilee Heroes.
