The Virginia Department of Transportation says:
"On US-501 (Brookneal Hwy) in the County of Campbell, in the vicinity of Alexander Ln; Browns Mill Rd; Rt. 686E/W (Campbell County), motorists can expect potential delays due to a vehicle accident. The north through lanes are closed. The south through lanes are closed. Southbound traffic is being routed onto US-24 to FR-685 to FR-686 and back onto US-501.
Northbound traffic is being routed onto FR-686 to FR-685 to US-24 and back onto US-501."
