A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing Boonsboro Road near the James River Day School on Monday night.
The female victim was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries at about 7:30 p.m., said Officer David Goodell of the Lynchburg Police Department.
Police closed the portion of Boonsboro Road for roughly 10 minutes while the wreck was cleared.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the vehicle, but Goodell said bad weather most likely contributed to the crash.
No other information about the crash is being released, Goodell said.
