Lynchburg will receive $18 million in federal stimulus money to help build its new Sandusky Middle School.
Gov. Timothy Kaine said in a news release that the money is part of $71.6 million in school construction bonds for eight projects in seven Virginia areas.
The no-interest bonds were established by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, also known as the stimulus package.
