Octagonal dining table displayed at Poplar Forest

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A three-piece octagonal dining table believed to have belonged to Thomas Jefferson will be on public display Saturday at Poplar Forest.

The table was passed down through a family that purchased the Bedford County home from Jefferson’s grandson and was recently restored at the site. Visitors will be able to view the table in the central room of the home.

A house tour ticket must be purchased to view the table. Call (434) 534-8120 for more information or visit www.poplarforest.org.
