Bedford seeks input on approved skatepark

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Bedford County wants to hear from skateboarders on the design of a newly approved skate park.

The county is hosting a public meeting Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Bedford Area Welcome Center.

County officials voted this summer to allow the skate park to locate within Falling Creek Park next to the Bedford County Nursing Home.

Michael Stokes, director of parks and recreation, has said there is much community support behind the skate park and it could become a major attraction for area youth and skating enthusiasts.

For more information, call the parks and recreation department at (540) 586-7682.
