Sunday marks the first 100 days Governor Bob McDonnell has been in office.
He says his administration has been successful at closing a $4.2 billion budget shortfall without raising taxes and has been successful in continuing the bipartisan leadership Virginia has come to know.
While McDonnell says he’s proud of his work so far, much more is to come.
“I’m just thrilled about the second hundred days. We’re kicking off big task forces on job creation and economic development another one on government reform another one on higher education reform and we’re going to continue to work on major projects to improve transportation in Virginia so we got a lot going on,” McDonnell explained.
On top of all of those goals, McDonnell says he’s working to make Virginia the energy capital of the East Coast.
