Attendance at Liberty University's annual winter music festival set a new record for the eight-year-old event, the school said on its Web site.
The 8,035 people who came to Winterfest broke the 2006 record of 6,759 people.
Winterfest is an entertainment event but also a recruiting effort for Liberty University.
“We were able to watch 615 students trust Christ as their personal savior this year at Winterfest,” Luke Enns of LU's Enrollment Management said on the school's Web site. “This is the most important part of hosting Winterfest.”
