Liberty Christian Academy Superintendent Todd Campo has stepped down after three years of leadership to become vice president of student leadership at Liberty University.
In his new role at LU, Campo will oversee the prayer leaders, spiritual life directors and resident advisers.
He will replace Dwayne Carson, who has been promoted to senior campus pastor, said LU Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr.
Carson’s new position will allow him to minister full-time to commuter and online students.
“We’ve grown so much that we needed Dwayne to be full-time pastor,” Falwell said.
John Patterson, executive director of academy affairs at LCA, will serve as LCA’s interim superintendent.
LCA’s board of directors will meet in the fall to make a decision on a new superintendent, Falwell said.
