With just 5 days until the Virginia Tech football team begins the 2010 season against Boise State, Hokie fans get a look at the new Nike uniforms their team will be wearing. The jerseys went on sale Wednesday morning in Blacksburg. Dozens of them had been sold before lunchtime at The Tech Bookstore on Main St. New hats and t-shirts are also on sale to help fans get ready for the big Labor Day match-up. "I like the new jerseys. I know some people don't like the black, but I think it will be fine for one game. I would not like it every week. It's a night game, so it fits," said Tech Junior Brian Marshall.
Also Wednesday, Nike rolled out the other 9 teams new uniforms in a ceremony in New York. Boise State, Tech's first opponent, also got new uniforms. The Hokies and Broncos meet up Monday night at 8 o'clock at FedExField.
