Reform commission to hold town hall in Lynchburg

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Members of Gov. Bob McDonnell’s commission on government reform will hold a town hall meeting Thursday night at Central Virginia Community College to hear public suggestions on how state government can be improved.

McDonnell’s plan to privatize the state’s liquor stores has dominated the commission’s work, and the publicity about it, since the panel began meeting in June.

Plans for Thursday night’s meeting had escaped news coverage until McDonnell’s office sent out a news release Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Merritt Hall.
