Lynchburg police have asked for help identifying two men in an Aug. 25 armed robbery in the 1400 block of Taylor Street.

The victim was walking on Taylor Street about 8 p.m., according to a news release, when he was approached by two black men. One of the men pointed a gun at the victim while the other removed the victim’s wallet and cash, the release states. Both men ran away toward R.S. Payne Elementary School.

One suspect is described as tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. He had a long scar on his face.

The other suspect is described as short with a muscular build, large eyes and braided hair. He was wearing a green shirt.

Police have asked for anyone with information about this to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900, to visit www.cvcrimestoppers.org to enter a web tip or to text “CVCS” and the message to 274637.
