Humane society shelter full, holding free kitten week

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Lynchburg Humane Society is giving away fixed cats and kittens for free through Friday, Aug. 12. The shelter, which can accommodate about 250 cats and kittens, needs to find homes for at least 50 to 60 of those in residence.

The “Spaced Out” special includes spay/neuter and initial shots. Cats that have not been fixed are $20 and select dogs are available for $25. All prospective pet owners must meet adoption guidelines.

This is the second time LHS has offered a free special on cats, with the first being last November. During that time, 44 cats found new homes.
