A Lynchburg woman was charged with reckless driving after hitting a school bus Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured.

Tonya Tolbert sideswiped the bus near the intersection of Buena Vista and Tulip streets around 3:30 p.m., Lynchburg Police Officer Ronnie Sitler said. Sitler said Tolbert, 24, was distracted by her cell phone, which caused her to cross into the path of the oncoming bus.

Tolbert, driving a 2007 Ford Fusion, sideswiped the bus. Ten children were reported to be on the bus at the time of the crash.
