Hallmark Movie Channel has announced the world premiere of “Lake Effects,” a movie filmed on location at Smith Mountain Lake in late 2010, on May 19.
The film stars Jane Seymour, Jeff Fahey, Ben Savage, Scottie Thompson, Casper Van Dien and Sean Patrick Flannery. The story is about an attorney who returns to the lake area to reconnect with her family following a tragedy; the movie was screened in Franklin County last October for the lake community that rallied around its development.
The movie, produced by Life Out Loud Films and inspired by the lake area, includes a few scenes in the city of Bedford.
Hallmark Movie Channel is a 24-hour cable network available in more than 46 million homes.
