Police continue to investigate an early-morning shooting Sunday in Chatham that left two men and a woman injured.
At about 2 a.m. Sunday, police received a call of a possible shooting at 420 Easley Road in Chatham, according to a news release from the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
When police and emergency crews arrived, they found three victims suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The victims were airlifted to a nearby trauma center, the release stated.
As of 6 p.m. Sunday one victim was listed in critical condition, one serious and one stable. Other than gender — two men and a woman — police were not releasing any other information about the victims, other than they were all from the Chatham area.
No other details were released.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the shooting, and the news release stated that updates about the incident would be “made available as soon as possible.”
