U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood will hold a town hall meeting at Virginia Commonwealth University.

VCU says LaHood is scheduled to meet with invited students and student leaders this afternoon in the University Student Commons.

LaHood will briefly discuss President Obama's State of the Union Address and the importance of increasing investment in transportation infrastructure to create jobs and spur economic development.

U.S. Department of Transportation officials say LaHood will join Virginia transportation officials and Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones to review I-95 bridge-restoration work before appearing at VCU.
